The DePRO group of the UC is leader in Life Cycle Assessment tools, materials and circular economy, and sustainable waste management.
- Role in the KAIROS-BIOCIR Project: development of strategies related to climate smart and environmentally sustainable food systems.
- Life-cycle data network building will be fostered with the aim of feeding national life-cycle oriented datasets.
- Life-cycle indicators will be applied in order to obtain the environmental impacts of current supply chains, prioritizing indicators such as Global Warming Potential, as well as those linked to the Water-Energy-Food Nexus.
